Nital Gosai is a life-long Ontarian, born and raised in downtown Toronto. She completed her LL. B. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2008. She was called to the Bar in Ontario in 2009.
Within one year of her Call, Nital Gosai launched Gosai Law, a litigation boutique focused in Plaintiff tort litigation. The firm, situated in Brampton and serving the GTA, now litigates and advises on a number of different areas of law including personal injury, constitutional law, criminal law, employment law, insurance law, novel torts and test-case matters. As the sole principal of Gosai Law, Nital Gosai directs a team of 7 lawyers and she is involved in unique and complex litigation matters involving state accountability, Class Actions and the Charter. Nital also advises a number of businesses on real estate development, insurance, contractual and transactional matters.
At Gosai Law, Nital has honed a feminist-oriented culture that is considerate of parenting obligations and matters affecting women and minorities. In promoting access to justice, part of Nital’s practice is dedicated to offering pro bono or reduced rate services for minorities with limited means.
In her community, Nital mentors racialized women who are interested in pursuing a career in law. Outside of law, Nital is a (very busy) mom of two, rambunctious little ones.
When she is not juggling law, management, mentoring or parenting, Nital likes to spend her time writing in her home office and on her travels to Italy. As a writer, Nital’s work is focused on legal academia, with small doses of fiction and biographies.
